Test Principle:
Glycerine, also known as glycerol, the main chain of glycerol exists in lipids called glycerides. It can be used as an effective marker for measuring liver disease and is also widely used as a sweetener in the food industry and as a moisturizer in pharmaceutical formulations.

Glycerol is oxidized to glycerol phosphate by glycerol kinase (GK), and glycerol phosphate oxidase (GPO) oxidizes glycerol phosphate to produce hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide reacts with 4-aminoantipyrine and 2,4-dichlorophenol to form a red product, which has a characteristic absorption peak at 505 nm. According to this, the glycerol content can be calculated.
