Gram-negative bacteria contain a glycolipid, lipopolysaccharide (LPS), on their outer cell wall. Together with bactericidal permeability-increasing protein (BPI), the encoded protein binds LPS and interacts with the CD14 receptor, probably playing a role in regulating LPS-dependent monocyte responses. Studies in mice suggest that the encoded protein is necessary for the rapid acute-phase response to LPS but not for the clearance of LPS from circulation. This protein is part of a family of structurally and functionally related proteins, including BPI, plasma cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP), and phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP).\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56514031878517,"sku":"BT-AP04969-50ul","price":162.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0843\/2671\/1640\/files\/Antibody_main_Dungeon_5.jpg?v=1767678439","url":"https:\/\/www.labcart.com\/de\/products\/lbp-polyclonal-antibody-50ul","provider":"LabCart Life Science","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
