Determination of Significance：

'Malate synthase (EC2.3.3.9) is a class of acyltransferases in transferases, mainly found in plants and microorganisms. It is one of the key enzymes in the glyoxylic acid cycle, which reacts with acetyl-CoA to form malic acid catalyzed by MS.

Measurement Principle：

MS catalyzes the production of malic acid by acetyl CoA and glyoxylic acid, along with the generation of coenzyme A, which converts colorless DTNB into yellow TNB with a characteristic absorption peak at 412 nm, from which MS activity can be calculated.
