Test Principle:
α-L-Fucosidase ( AFU ) is a lysosomal acid hydrolase, which is widely distributed in various tissues, cells and body fluids of human body. It is involved in the metabolism of glycoproteins, glycolipids and oligosaccharides in the body. Due to the significant increase of α-L-fucosidase in patients with liver cancer, it is considered to be a new tumor marker for primary liver cancer.

α-L-fucosidase catalyzes p-nitrophenol-α-L-fucosidase to produce α-L-fucosidase and p-nitrophenol, the latter has a maximum absorption peak at 405 nm, according to which the activity of AFU can be calculated.
