Product introduction

Calcium is a metal element, which is a silver-white crystal at room temperature. Animal bones, clam shells and egg shells all contain calcium carbonate. The detection of calcium content in living organisms is mainly achieved by detecting the concentration of calcium ions. At present, the commonly used dyes include o-cresolphthalide complex ketone (OCPC), azo arsenic Ⅲ, methyl thymol blue (MTB), etc.

The kit uses calcium ions in solution to combine with OCPC under alkaline conditions to form a purplish red complex. Magnesium ion chelator is added to remove magnesium ion background interference. The absorbance at 575nm is detected by spectrophotometer, and the total calcium content is calculated according to the formula. The advantages of this method are as follows: 1. It is a routine method of serum calcium detection recommended by the world; 2. Single reagent, easy to operate; 3. High sensitivity; 4, stable color; 5. Small sample size was used.
