Test Principle:Monoamine oxidase (EC1.4.3.4) mainly exists in various organs of vertebrates,especially secretory glands,brain,and liver. In the buds of invertebrates,beans and other plants,there are also catalyzed monoamine metabolisms,which are low in content and have important physiological functions,and the activity of monoamine oxidase can reflect the degree of liver fibrosis. In addition,the abnormal activity of monoamine oxidase leads to disorder of monoamine neurotransmitter in the cell,which leads to a variety of diseases.MAO catalyzes the deamination of monoamine substrates,and the produced NH4+ is determined by indophenol blue colorimetry,The product has a characteristic absorption peak at 630 nm,and the activity of MAO enzyme can be calculated by measuring the absorbance at 630 nm.
