Test Principle:In the presence of an electronically coupled reagent, the reagent can be reduced by intracellular dehydrogenase to produce a highly water-soluble orange-yellow formazan. The depth of color is directly proportional to the proliferation of cells and inversely proportional to cytotoxicity. The OD value is detected at a wavelength of 453 nm using a microplate reader, which indirectly reflects the number of live cells.
